Prior to the adoption of Code Create in 2023, which updated the Town code related to zoning and subdivision of property for the first time in over 50 years, there were few outdoor lighting regulations in town.  The new code made some progress but left significant work to do.  Immediately after the Code Create process, the Vienna Town Council directed staff to develop better, clearer rules on outdoor lighting for properties throughout the town.

We want to hear from you—the business community and town residents.  Your input will help inform the creation of these new regulations and guidelines.
