The purchasing office serves all Town departments in purchasing goods and services in accordance with the Town budget. The goal is to seek high-quality goods and services at a reasonable cost, ensure that all procurement procedures are conducted in a fair and impartial manner, and avoid any impropriety or appearance of impropriety. All qualified vendors have access to public business, and no offeror or bidder is ever arbitrarily or capriciously excluded from competitive procurement processes.
All expenditures of Town funds must comply with policies and procedures of the Town of Vienna (Administrative Regulations Chapter IV - Purchasing, Purchasing Regulations) and the Virginia Public Procurement Act.
The Town uses OpenGov Procurement for distributing notification and solicitation documents. Offerors will also upload bids and proposals here.
Solicitations also are advertised on the Commonwealth of Virginia's eVA Procurement Portal, where they may be downloaded and viewed in their entirety.
