Vienna library history
The Town of Vienna’s first library was built in 1897 and was located on what is now Library Lane. The building was moved in 1913 to a more convenient location at the corner of Maple Avenue and Center Street, where it operated until 1962. The current Patrick Henry Library was opened in 1971. The original historic library building, now called the Little Library, is maintained by Historic Vienna, Inc. and located on the Freeman Store grounds.
